In the area of laminated wood joinery, the company LUCA Global Group has a manufacturing capacity between 4,000 sqm and 5,000 sqm per year, which it exploited in a proportion of 80%, in 2019
The company, based in Bucharest, manufactures laminated wood windows and laminated wood doors (70% of the total), interior doors (25%) and wooden shutters (5%).The windows are made of profiles from Spruce, Pine, Oak or Meranti essences (those from Spruce and Oak are manufactured in their own production unit), with Milesi and Remmers finishes, Roto (Germany) or Maco (Austria) hardware
Our company produces windows on 40 mm profile with simple glass (designed for historical buildings), 52 mm profile with thermal insulation glass and cremon closing system (designed for classic style houses and historical monuments), the profiles for modern joinery being 68 mm, 78 mm and 92 mm (for passive houses). We use Saint - Gobain Glass, which provides a variety of products ranging from the simplest double-glazed package, 24 mm and up to the most sophisticated system with sound protection and thermal coefficient, designed for passive houses.
The distribution of the products occurs through its own fleet of commercial vehicles, both on the Romanian territory and in Europe. During the pandemic, more precisely during the state of emergency, most of the employees were technical unemployed. We resumed our activity starting with June 1, 2020, only the assembly team continued the project until then, working on a construction site open in Munich, Germany.
We have taken all the necessary measures to complete the installation of a joinery project started before the Covid-19 pandemic. The mounting team was relocated in Germany for the entire period, to prevent any delay, due to the isolation measures when returning back to the country.
We believe that in order to prevent a prolonged economic crisis, it was necessary to cancel all transport restrictions, for the free movement of people and goods, in Europe and overseas, to avoid the blocking of the trade chain, said Sorin Luca, General Manager LUCA Global Group.
