Residential Building, Samothraki Island, Greece
The project carried out on Samothraki Island, Greece, involved the execution of a complete set of meranti wood joinery for a private residential building and was met with exceptionally positive feedback from the client, N.M.
The joinery included windows with applied glazing bars, manufactured using the IVLUCA 68 European profile, selected for its compatibility with local architecture and its technical performance. The ensemble was complemented by side-hinged shutters with adjustable louvers, allowing control of light and ventilation while enhancing the building’s traditional architectural character.
The project also included sliding pleated mosquito screens, discreetly integrated into the joinery systems, as well as an entrance door, produced from the same wood species and according to the same quality and aesthetic standards.
The finish was executed in a colour specific to the region, Ultramarine Blue – RAL 5002, highlighting the Mediterranean character of the building and ensuring harmonious integration within the island’s natural and architectural context.
