The project carried out at the Ioanid International High School (Crissovelloni House) in Bucharest, a listed historic monument and part of the General Constantin Budișteanu architectural ensemble, aimed to preserve and enhance a heritage building of significant architectural and historical value.

The interventions were designed and executed in accordance with historic monument restoration principles, preserving the building’s original character while discreetly integrating contemporary technical solutions. The works focused on the implementation of classical joinery, adapted to the architectural style of the building and current functional requirements.

The joinery was fitted with 20 mm insulating glass, providing an optimal level of thermal and acoustic comfort without affecting the aesthetic expression of the façades. Cremone-type hardware was also used, selected for its compatibility with traditional closing systems and its contribution to the authenticity of the architectural details.

Through this intervention, the building benefited from a careful and coherent restoration, reinforcing its historical and architectural identity and harmoniously integrating it into the contemporary urban context. The project represents an example of responsible intervention in built heritage, where modern functionality serves the conservation of historical value.
